*Ability: Tactile Thought Projection - the ability to place the user's thoughts and memories into another person's mind. Renesmee Cullen is the only being to possess this power. This power allows the user to project his or her thoughts into another person's mind in the form of vivid pictures, thoughts and feelings, and requires physical contact. It works most handy in communicating with others when words are not suited to the purpose. One can also hijack the user's power to access his/her dreams by placing his or her hand on their faces; as shown when Renesmee fell asleep and Bella "peeped" her dreams. This power is very similar to Aro's tactile telepathy, given they both need to be in physical touch to activate their powers. Unlike most other mind-directed powers, this power cannot be blocked by Bella's shield due to Renesmee's second ability to penetrate shields.

Anti-Shield - the ability to destroy or penetrate a mental shield. She can use this power through tactile thought projection to penetrate a shield and place her thoughts into their minds without their defenses keeping her at bay.
It is not yet known if Nessie's penetration works only on Bella's shield, or any other like that of Renata, a high-ranking member of the Volturi, and Aro's personal guard. It is however thought that she can communicate with anybody she touches without their mental defenses keeping her at bay. It is also unknown if her power operates by penetrating the shield, sidestepping it or neutralizing it completely. This power works via physical contact with a target. It is unknown whether she is able to break through physical shields like Renata's. However, its effect may more restrained due to Bella being human when she passed it to Renesmee.
