Natallia and Lacey were going to hunt tonight because they had the uncomfortable feeling of losing control and bringing the secret out. They liked to hunt at night because it was easier to go without being seen and it gives them a canopy of darkness which is always a good thing.
Natallia put her hair up in a messy ponytail and twisted her bangs off her face and clipped them up. She wasn't wearing anything good just sweat pants and an old t-shirt. They never had the heating on in their house because they couldn't feel if it was cold but they could normally tell if a human came in their house because they were probably going to start shaking.
They headed out, Natallia cloaked them in the darkness as they sprinted through the almost empty back streets of forks and through the much busier town center until they were out of Forks and into camping territory. They were aware of the shapeshifters that roamed the land but that didn't really bother them.

Natalia had managed to convince Lacey that it was probably time to hunt once more, because the brunette’s eyes were as black as was possible. She was surprised she hadn’t lost control already, if she was honest. Though, she’d tried to put it off as long as possible so that she could let Natalia have most of the blood. After all, Lace had always been the big sister. Even when they were little she would look after her & constantly be protecting her. It was like an instinct & like all other instincts; the whole vampire thing had heightened it. So, she’d always be drinking less to make sure Nat had enough. Lacey may have been more of a newborn then her sister, but she tried to give her sister everything...including blood.
So, the brunette had reluctantly agreed to go out properly & hunt. The sisters had recently discovered a campsite which was set up in the middle of the forest, perfect hunting ground. It was far enough away from the city that no screams would be heard & dark enough for them both to make a quick escape if needed. That meant that the blame could easily be pinned on a bear or some other wild forest animal, which was always a good thing. Natalia & Lacey may have been quite new to the vampire world, but they were very careful when they killed. They used a mix of strength & ability, along with skill. Every big kill was always carefully planned, taking in all circumstances in case of an emergency.
Lace brushed a piece of chocolate brown hair out of her eyes & behind her ears, as she slipped on her shoes. They may have only been going hunting but she always dressed like she was just a girl having a night out, then if caught that was her alibi. Preparation was the key in Lacey’s mind, if something was prepared there was hardly anything that could go wrong. So, she was always cautious & careful. Though, when she wasn’t hunting she was the complete opposite. Hyper & bubbly, sometimes she was even annoying. Hunting was different though, hunting was serious.
Natalia was the first one out of the house, the brunette following behind her. She waited for her sister to disguise them, just to be on the safe side. Then, when she was sure that it had been done Lacey was the first to start running. The path way was familiar, basically etched into her mind. It was good though, at least she knew they wouldn’t get lost. Not that they ever did, Vampires were clever like that. She looked around once more before she entered the forest, sprinting now. Her mind focused on the task ahead, as the scent of the humans drew closer & her throat started to burn with anticipation. Tonight’s kill was going to be a good one, she knew that much.

Natallia followed her sister through forks until they reached the forests edge. They had found this camp site a few weeks ago and thought it was perfect for when they were hungry. They leapt over things and jumped up trees until a smell slammed into Natallia's nostrils. She let out a quiet hiss and turned her head in the direction of where they smell had come from. She inhaled and thought she smelt 4 humans. "Perfect, Lace. Can you smell that?"

As they ran both of the sisters stayed close by, never separating by more than a few metres. They hunted better when they worked as a team; one would suffocate the human while the other one drank. That way there were hardly screams, which drew less attention & meant we could kill more of them. It was a very sadistic tactic, but it worked & that was all that matter. Lacey wasn’t completely heartless though, she always felt sorry for the humans. They never saw it coming, people with hopes & dreams, families & futures. Just thinking about it made her a little saddened, but then she remembered that if she didn’t drink she’d be dead or at least kill a lot more then was necessary.
So, as they dodged the tree’s & jumped over the occasional trunk or boulder she told herself that this was for the best. She always had to convince herself it was the right thing to do, even when they were only doing what they had to. It was simply the food chain, it’s not like it could be avoided. As her focus returned to the real world the smell hit her like a brick wall. They were very close, extremely close. Her eyes widened at the smell, she’d clicked into hunting mode. It was like she could feel the blood pulsing through their bodies already. This is what she hated about hunting. The whole animalistic feeling about it, she hated feeling like this. Though, Natallia had convinced her that it was the right feeling.
